100-computer ICT centre, classrooms inaugurated in Epe

Two projects – an ICT skills acquisition centre and a three-classroom block with staff room — were on Saturday inaugurated in Epe, Lagos State.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the ICT centre equipped with 100 desktop and laptop computers and the classrooms built at Agbowa and Ilara-Epe are part of the constituency projects executed by Lanre Odubote, a member of the House of Representatives.
Inaugurating the projects, the traditional ruler of Ilara, Oba Akeem Adesanya, and Oba Aderibigbe Asummo of Odu-Ayandelu, lauded Odubote’s contributions to education in the area.
“It is a testimony to the age-long saying that he that opens a school gate has closed the gates to the prison.
“The lawmaker has done so well in uplifting education in the area; his impact will be felt even many years after he might have left office,”Adesanya said.
In his comment, Asuumo urged political leaders to look well before choosing the people to represent the various constituencies.
Another monarch, Adekoya Odusanya, the Olofin Ajaye of Orugbo, also commended Odubote and the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency ll in the State House of Assembly, Segun Olulade, who was also present at the event, for executing people-oriented projects.
Speaking on behalf of students of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, where Odubote had earlier donated an e-Library with 110 laptops, the Student Union President, Olusola Akinwande, also commended the lawmaker for his contributions to education in the area.
